Inserting Images into GIST

Many types of images can be inserted into a GIST file including JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP. Below are steps and suggestions on how to work with images and insert them into GIST.

1. Find an image and save it into your ‘My Organizers’ Folder.

Suggestion: In order to keep track and easily locate pictures and images it is recommended that users create a special folder just for these files types.

2. Create and configure a rectangle in GIST to the desired size and location.

3. Go to the edit drop down menu (found at the top of the screen) and select ‘image’ and ‘attach’.

4. Locate and open the image you want inserted into the GIST file.

5. Increase or decrease the size of the rectangle so that the image fits the GIST organizer or blank page. Suggestion: add arrows, words and other GIST shapes to add points of emphasis.

6. Save the file and you have completed inserting an image into GIST.
